Using Data to Separate Driver Error from Vehicle Limitation
Is the car holding the driver back, or the other way round? The data can usually tell.

Setup changes made to fix a driver-technique issue rarely work — and the reverse is equally true. Separating the two saves testing time.
Check the grip envelope
Combined lateral and longitudinal acceleration shows how much of the available grip is being used. Unused grip suggests a driver opportunity; consistent saturation suggests a vehicle limit.
Compare across drivers and runs
If a behaviour appears for every driver on every run, it is likely the car. If it appears selectively, it is likely technique.
